Transforming Language

Untitled, 2025

Made of 4 pounds of paraffin wax, Untitled explores the foundations of language and distorts them. The wax letters resemble children’s fridge magnet toys, which are used to teach children language. These letters were piled together and melted, distorting their recognizability and potential usefulness.

This work is intentionally left untitled, as I felt there was no appropriate name for my transformation of language through my distortion of typographic letterforms.
