For this project, I tell the story of how in my childhood, I accidentally decapitated two St. Francis garden statues through both written and visual narrative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using InDesign, the visual narrative was created using color separations designed to be printed using a RISO printer with limited colors. When creating the file, I not only had to address the color limitations but also the alignment and layout for the interactive component of the printed work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each piece of paper was hand-stained and then run through the RISO printer for each color separation before being trimmed and folded to create the final piece. When interacted with, what is first seen is St. Francis in whole, before being unfolded to reveal the shocking decapitation and the narrative inside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
